SEED4NA-member Adnane Labbaci (University of Ibn Zohr Agadir) was one of the speakers at the ‘Let’s talk GIS internationally’ webinar organized by the Hassania Geo-IT association on February 6 2021. The webinar focused on two central topics: the future geomatics specialist & Geospatial data infrastructures. The webinar was introduced by the Head of the GIS Department at Hassania School of public works, professor Hassan Brirchi and moderated by professor Fatimazehra Barramou. Other speakers at the event were Cyhana Lena Williams, Joseph Kerski and Moatasem Zahra.

In his presentation on ‘The Role and Future of Spatial Data Infrastructure: an implementation in Research and Education’ Adnane Labbaci not only provided an introduction into SDIs, their key components and related trends and developments, but he also presented the SEED4NA project and how it aims to improve the quality of higher education in North Africa in the fields of SDI and EO.
