The different European partners involved in the SEED4NA project have significant experience in the design and implementation of SDI/EO education and training. Their experiences but also the resources they have developed will be extremely valuable for the design of the SEED4NA curriculum on SDI and EO. To better understand which resources are available, an investigation is made of the different SDI/EO courses in which the European HEIs are involved and the teaching resources they are relying on in the context of these courses.

This investigation is led by Bochum University of Applied Sciences, and resulted in the identification of 59 relevant SDI/EO courses offered by the European universities involved in the project. Each of these 59 courses have been described in a standardized manner by the responsible project partners. In this way, a repository of relevant SDI/EO courses in Europe was established. Currently, also relevant courses and – open – resources from other sources are investigated. Both the resources from the involved European universities and other relevant resources will be used for the design of the SDI/EO curriculum in the next stage of the project.
